- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Holland Mourns Flood Victims. DESCRIPTION: Just a week after the disastrous floods in Holland, where over thirteen hundred are known to have lost their lives, a day of prayer was proclaimed. The national mourning was led by Queen Juliana, who broadcast to her people. Throughout the country, in every town and village, the streets were empty, the shops and places of entertainment were closed. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. MS flood areas. Various shots showing the desolation & flooded areas. GV Royal palace. Dutch people entering churches. Empty & deserted streets. Cinemas closed, shops etc. Work going on trying to repair damaged dykes, walls etc.
