Jim Peters covered 11 miles 986 yards, beating the English Native record by 54 yards. The other highlight was Chris Chataway’s victory in the International two miles. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Parade of athletes from Britain and Continent. One hour race. Won by Jim Peters. During race man spraying course with water, sprays some over racers. Chataway beats Gordon Pirie in International two miles.
