MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Whitsun Week-End - Canvey. Mablethorpe. Coronation Route Etc. DESCRIPTION: The Whitsun holiday provided a more cheerful scene at the flood-stricken areas of Canvey and Mablethorpe where a good time could be enjoyed again even if things were not quite back to normal. A vast number of people crowded into London to get a preview of the Coronation route decorations. They were also able to see the Australian Coronation contingent take over Guard duties at Buckingham Palace. SHOTLIST: Cut story - People on holiday at Canvey. Shots of Canvey restored after floods.
