Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Visit to North Wales. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Royal cypher. Two shots of Caernarfon Castle - very good. Queen & Duke arrive in car at Water Gate, alight walks up steps. Castle gates opened & Lord Harlech walks down to meet them, he presents key to Queen. In procession enter castle grounds. Royal party arrive at dais, Sir David Maxwell Fyfe walk with Duke. Many Welsh personalities presented to Queen. Queen leaves dais & walk to Queen Eleanor Gate. Crowds outside. Queen & Duke walk out of balcony, wave to crowds. Crowds cheering. CU types dressed in national costume. Queen & Duke walk back to Water Gate. Drive through Rhyl, crowd cheer. At Eisteddfod Pavilion, crowds sing as royal couple arrive. More presentations. Crowds cheer at Wrexham. At Llangollen, Queen & Duke inside crowded tents. Bouquet presented to Queen by Nest Rhys Roberts. Massed singing by choirs of ten nations.
