MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Cyclists Away on Fortnight’s Grind. DESCRIPTION: Nearly sixty riders mustered in Hyde Park, to sign on for the Daily Express Tour of Britain cycle race. Star performers from Italy, Belgium and France formed part of the Continental challenge in the 1,624-mile marathon. The first stage was won by Bruno Monti of Italy who averaged nearly 24 mph to Great Yarmouth. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Cyclists signing on at Hyde Park, before start of race.
