MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Housing Target Bull’s-Eye. DESCRIPTION: Mr Harold Macmillan was at Barnet to open what was expected to be the last new house completed in 1953. The Housing Minister himself invited the tenants to take possession of their new house. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Harold Macmillan outside newly finished house speaks at mike. CU Mr & Mrs Poulton, tenants of same. Mr Macmillan opens door of house and beckons them in to take possession. It is 310,000th house. House built by the Barnet Urban District Council.
