- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Guided Missile Test (Nike Rocket). DESCRIPTION: At an American testing station, a new guided missile is given its first public flight. Called Nike after the Greek Goddess of Victory, the missile makes a hit on the target a certainty. SHOTLIST: Cut story - KS. Missile at launching base. Last minute adjustments made to rocket by GIs. Target plane already in air. CU hand removes safety pin from rocket, missile at ready. Starting gun fired. CUs various controlling instruments. CU firing button pushed. Rocket launched. CUs dials, graphs etc, charting course of rocket. Target plane in air. Direct hit scored by missile. CU plane exploding. CU plane in flames and breaking up.
