- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: East Berlin - Through the Curtain. DESCRIPTION: In Berlin, the Brandenburg Gate marks the boundary between East and West, but filming beyond the iron curtain was recently permitted. Pictures of life in the Soviet Sector include the scene as Mr Molotov left the Soviet Embassy for the Big Four Conference. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Hammer & Sickle. GV of the Brandenburg Gate. GV of the ‘Unter Den Linden’. Various shots of shops, streets etc. CU signpost with Stalinalle on same. LS and CU of Statue of Stalin. Shots of the Russian Embassy. CU sign stating same. Russian troops on guard outside Embassy. Soldiers and detective dodge back into room when they realise they are being filmed. Russian guard changing. Mr Molotov out of Embassy into car. Drives away.
