Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Britain in Icy Grip. DESCRIPTION: The county of Kent provides a pretty fair example of Britain’s icy weather. Great fun is had by all who like Winter sports. Nine degrees of frost are recorded on the Air Ministry roof. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Various shots of snow drifts. Man walking through same. Snow ploughs at work. Men digging away snow. Children look at notice saying ‘No School Today’, run down road and start skating on frozen pond. CU Notice ‘Air Ministry’. On roof. Woman takes readings of weather gauges. Writes temperature down. More shots of snow covered countryside.
