- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: An Arrest. DESCRIPTION: A gun-battle in Shreveport, Louisiana. Starting with the killing of a Deputy Sheriff by a farmer who objected to having a warrant served on him, two policemen were hit by the farmer’s fire (one being mortally wounded) before the farmhouse was set on fire. Later the Sheriff’s body was recovered with that of his murderer. SHOTLIST: Various shots of gun battle in progress. Various scenes of farmyard with smoke bombs being shot at same. Various scenes of detectives and sheriffs behind cars firing at house. Mother of criminal tries in vain to get him to give himself up. Detectives rush house, with rapid gun fire. Two detectives hit. Taken off to hospital on stretcher. Farm house on fire. Mother of criminal crying on ground.
