Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Tour - Queen Leaves Australia. DESCRIPTION: The final scenes of the Royal Tour of Australia were enacted at Freemantle. His Excellency the Governor General, with Lady Slim and the Premier and Mrs Menzies said their farewells to the Royal travellers before they boarded the Gothic. SHOTLIST: Cut story - Queen and Duke arrive and are greeted by the Governor General and Lady Slim. Inspects Naval Guard of Honour. Shot of Queen saying goodbye to Mr Menzies and his wife and also to Field Marshal Slim and his wife. Queen and Duke board Gothic up gangway. CU Queen waving. CU Duke. GV of both of waving farewells. People on dock waving. Gothic pulls out. GV of Gothic escorted by small ships.
