Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: 1955 Ideal Home Exhibition. DESCRIPTION: Once again, the Daily Mail Ideal Home Exhibition has opened at Olympia. At a special preview, the Queen and the Duke were accompanied by Viscount Rothermere. SHOTLIST: KS A house inside the Olympia. GV the main hall. GV a repeat of the house exterior. Then a shot inside - dining room. Queen arrives with Viscount Rothermere and the Organiser Mr Stokes-Roberts. The Duke of Edinburgh who was also present is seen in CU with Lord Rothermere examining a dish-washing machine. CU of a mixer operated by a water tap. CU a slicer (electric). CU of a kettle and teapot combined.
