Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Visit to Gloucester. SHOTLIST: GV of the band of the Gloucester Regiment marching. Crowd shot. Duke of Beaufort and the Mayor (Councillor Howard Gibson) greet the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh. VIPs being presented. Queen and Duke in jeep driving through crowds of school-children. At the Gloucester Railway Carriage and Wagon Company’s Works, Duke talks to men. Queen looking at various equipment and carriages. Duke and Queen in finished carriage. GV of gaily decorated streets. The royal car along street. GV of Guildhall. Interior address of welcome is presented. Queen and Duke looking at Old Charter. GV of the Cathedral. Pan to crowds. The Dean and Bishop greet the Queen and Duke. The Queen looking at a model of the Cathedral. The Duke and Queen leave and enter car and drive off amidst cheering crowds.
