MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Chataway Wins 2000 Metres. DESCRIPTION: At the White City, a team from Oxford and Cambridge University met a team from Yale and West Point. The main attraction of the afternoon was the 2,000 metres Invitation race, which was won by Chris Chataway. He set a new British record and was only 2.4 seconds outside the world record.
