MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Addis Ababa - Jubilee Preparations. DESCRIPTION: At Addis Ababa (the Ethiopian capital) the town is gradually being modernised, preparations have been under way for some time, in readiness for the celebration of Emperor Haile Selassie’s Silver Jubilee. SHOTLIST: GV old streets in Addis Ababa, showing old shops and shanties. CU horse drawn carts and other means of transport. GV Churchill Street and modern bars and buildings. SCU Haile Selassie’s car draws up outside new hotel and he alights with some of his grandchildren. LS and SCU Haile Selassie going round and inspecting hotel.
