Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Ambush Victims Funeral. DESCRIPTION: The body of a British Soldier was borne to the British Military Cemetery, at Nicosia. He was killed, when his jeep was ambushed. His passenger fired back and killed one of the terrorists. The funeral of the dead Cypriot was a good excuse for a political demonstration. SHOTLIST: Funeral of Lance Corporal Morum - CU army lorry with coffin, and escort marching beside. CU coffin on lorry. CU officers march behind lorry, Major Coombe included. CU soldiers carry coffin to grave. SCU minister reads over grave. CU guard of honour rifle salute with rifles. Terrorist Funeral - GVs Metaxas Square. CU empty Hharse with horses and mourners. GV tear gas spreads over square and procession. CU David Samuelson with 16 mm camera, wipes his eyes. SCU troops lay barbed wire across road. LS riot squad with shields run to riot area.
