Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Christmas Stand to in Cyprus. DESCRIPTION: Security Patrols were on duty in Nicosia throughout Christmas Day. In spite of this there was Christmas Fare. This included Christmas Dinner with the Royal Engineers, a children’s Christmas party and Boxing Day races. SHOTLIST: GVs Metaxas Square, raining. CU soldier on guard in sand barricade. SCU two soldiers walking along street with rifles. CU guard with bren gun. CU Land Rover with patrol in back with sten gun. CU officer in front of Land Rover. GVs the cookhouse with soldiers sitting down eating. CU soldier tackles his chicken wing. CU Major Coombe, GC, drinks with soldiers.
