- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Swedish Olympics. DESCRIPTION: At Stockholm a fire broke out at a riding school near the Olympic stables. Prompt action was taken and Britain’s Olympic horses were all led away to safety. At the end of the Queen’s state visit, Princess Margaret flew over to join her sister. She was welcomed by Prince Bertil. The Queen and members of the two Royal Families was wrapped up against the dreadful weather, as she and the Prince walked in the rain to watch the Endurance Test. The last phase of the event was - the jumping. The result was a decisive victory for Britain. SHOTLIST: Various shots of stables on fire. Firemen fighting fire. MCU two firemen. CU fireman. Mr Hill riding ‘Countryman’. LS of the Royal box. Colonel Weldon riding ‘Kilbarry’. Three Swedish girls dressed in national costume bring out the medals. Colonel Weldon receives the gold medal from Lord Burghley. Shot of the 3 winners riding around the ring.
