Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Duke Leaves on World Tour. DESCRIPTION: The Argonaut Ajax was ready at London Airport and there to see off the Duke of Edinburgh were the Queen, Princess Anne and the Duke of Cornwall. The Duke was starting on his 35,000 mile round-the-world tour, which was planned to take in many little visited islands, as well as Ceylon, Australia and New Zealand. SHOTLIST: GV Argonaut Ajax airliner. Royal Party (Princess Anne, Prince Charles, Queen) arrive. Mount steps. Spectators on roof of control tower. Queen down steps followed by children. Queen and children waving from room. Plane taxies. Kids waving. Queen and children leave by car.
