Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Plane Crash - All Saved. DESCRIPTION: With 2 propellers out of action, a crippled Pan-American Stratocruiser circled the coast guard weather ship Pontchartrain, before ditching in the Pacific Ocean. The news flashed to the mainland All Survivors Rescued. The survivors were taken on the coastguard cutter to San Francisco, where relatives were reunited with them. SHOTLIST: Aerial shots plane circling. Observers look from ship. Plane hits water. Plane in two pieces. CU hole in middle. Wreckage cut in two. Dinghies afloat. Rafts afloat. Sinking craft. Survivors helped aboard. Rescue ship Ponchartrain. Coast guard cutter. People come off ship and are re-united with families and friends.
