- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Withdrawal Continues. DESCRIPTION: British divers are still at work on salvage operations among the wrecks at Port Said. Using light self contained apparatus, men of the Mediterranean Fleet Clearance Diving team can make quick surveys of the underwater obstructions. Meanwhile the withdrawal of Allied troops from Egypt continues. The First Battalion, the Yorks and Lancs are already on their way home, together with other units. Troops were in a very cheerful mood when embarking in the Aircraft Carrier HMS Theseus. SHOTLIST: Suez Canal - Salvage work in operation. Drivers going down into water. Divers being instructed in boat. Lieutenant Philip White instructs divers (David Audoire, Derek Clarke, Allan Wilkinson, Jack Graham and Sydney Carter). Various close ups of the divers.
