- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Ireland V England - Rugby. DESCRIPTION: When England kicked off at Dublin, fifty-six-thousand were there to see whether Ireland could beat the visitors. It was a thrilling match, ten minutes before the end, Ireland were penalised. Challis took a 25 yard kick and England were six up. No more score, but it was a battle to the very last. SHOTLIST: English team come onto field followed by the Irish team. President O’Kelly? inspects English team, then Irish team. England kick off. CU of scrum. Referee blows whistle and gives penalty to Ireland. Kick misses. Second penalty for Ireland, also misses. England score only try, but do not convert. Pipers denote half time. Ireland kick off. From line out England almost score. Penalty for Ireland. Players: Thompson, Jackson. Challis.
