Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Cyprus Relaxes. DESCRIPTION: For the first time in over a year, British troops have been out in the streets of Nicosia without carrying arms. British (and Cypriot women, too, for that matter) have been able to go shopping, with their children free from attack. Since the release of Archbishop Makarios, the state of emergency had been relaxed. The boys took the opportunity of doing some shopping, too.
