- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Bombs in the Casbah. DESCRIPTION: The Casbah district of Algiers was subjected to a special search by French forces just before the Easter holidays, when the rebels openly threatened a campaign of violence. In a deserted house, paratroops found a cupboard in which the shelves concealed the entrance to an inner store room. They discovered, among other weapons, a stock of thirteen time bombs. SHOTLIST: GV of the Casbah. Washing hanging up in the Casbah. Troops down the steps with boxes. Notice. Troops going up stairs which are of spiral design. Troops go into room and go out again. Kicks door open and enters. Opens cupboard and kicks shelves. Finds cubbyhole. Troop enters and passes out box to the other troop. Many boxes come out of the hole. They inspect them gingerly. Find time bombs. General view of the boxes. Semi close up of a box being opened and revealing a wired time bomb.
