Summary
The three miles provided one of the most sparkling performances in the AAA Championships, it was a triumph for Derek Ibbotson. Time: 13 minutes 20.8. The three thousand metres steeplechase was victory for Disley, who won by sixty yards. The eight-eighty was won by Ron Delaney in a time that equals the Championship best.
