MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Power Station Explosion - Algerian Sabotage. DESCRIPTION: At Laghouat in Algeria, a power station is ablaze, following an explosion that completely wrecked the plant. This latest outrage marks the long struggle against rebellion in North Africa. Next day, the anniversary of Bastille Day was celebrated by a brief parade. SHOTLIST: Night scenes of the power station ablaze. Various day scenes of smoking wreckage inside and outside of the power station. BASTILLE DAY PARADE IN ALGERIA - CARD 71249 Parade was held to celebrate Bastille Day. The French Commander made awards for gallantry (Foreign Legion). Various shots of the crowds. The French commander going past crowd in a jeep. Flypast. Military men on horseback.
