Summary
Ace drivers assembled for the Grand Prix at Nurburg. It was a twisting circuit of three hundred and ten miles. Mike Hawthorn, took the lead at the start, Peter Collins was on his tail. But neither of them could hold off Juan Fangio. He broke the lap record and left Hawthorn and Collins to take second and third place, and won the Grand Prix, World Champion for the fifth time.
