- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Safety Kerb Demonstration. DESCRIPTION: A new safety kerb was recently demonstrated in Melbourne. A Danish invention consisting of reinforced concrete sections erected on well buried posts. When the front wheel hits the curved face, the vehicle is deflected and slowed down. A new slant on safety for both motorists and pedestrians. SHOTLIST: Shots of a demonstration of a new type safety kerb consisting of reinforced concrete sections on well buried concrete posts. The curved face, on contact with the tyre deflects the vehicle as well as causing a brake effect. It is a Danish invention.
