Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Operation ‘Farside’. DESCRIPTION: An American Air Force experiment at Eniwetok Atoll in the South Pacific and the first pictures of Project Farside to be released. SHOTLIST: GV of balloons & men. The plastic balloons are inflated with helium. Shots of rocket mounted on specially made truck, and mechanism is re-checked. Shots of truck going along, preparing to launch balloon & rocket. Shots of control room with men working in it. CU a control panel. Shots of balloon in flight and rocket suddenly bursting through.
