Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Greyhound Racing. DESCRIPTION: A greyhound race in Germany, it was the final race of 1957 for the Rhineland Westphalia district. The climax of this year’s obstacle meeting in Czechoslovakia, was the sixty-eighth Grand Pardubice Steeplechase. SHOTLIST: Shots of dogs (Afghans) on course. Mechanical hare starts. Shots of dogs leaving starting box and racing round. Shots of dogs racing. CU dog on a lead watching. Various shots of dogs fighting. STEEPLECHASE - CARD 72009 General shots of horses jumping fence, some lose their riders and fall. Shots of horses approaching the Taxis ditch, one horse refuses and goes back. Many riders fall in water. Horse refuses to jump it again. Horse walks through ditch and gets rider soaking wet.
