MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Hillary at South Pole. DESCRIPTION: Five men, three tractors and their fuel almost finished, after the last 70 miles forced march. That’s how the New Zealand Antarctic team, led by Sir Edmund Hillary, reached the South Pole. Sir Edmund’s party is only the third ever to get there by the overland route.
