- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Exercise ‘Run Aground’. DESCRIPTION: An assault by Royal Marines in helicopters was a dramatic item in Exercise Run Aground. This four-day demonstration, near Portsmouth, was designed to show Staff College students modern methods of amphibious methods: new types of landing vessels and the water-proofing of vehicles. SHOTLIST: LS helicopter comes into land. Closer same. MS Marines step from hovering helicopter which then rises in the air. LS Marines drop. Amphibious craft land. Diff. angle same.
