- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Atom Scientists Agree. DESCRIPTION: In Geneva, where long ago the League of Nations made its bid for world peace, the International Atoms-for-Peace Conference took place. The United Nations Secretary General, Mr Hammarskjold, stressed the peaceful aims of this conference. Close to the Conference Hall, there was an exhibition of atomic equipment. The British display was by far the biggest of them all and the British Ambassador in Switzerland, Sir William Montagu-Pollock, made a comprehensive tour of Britain’s atomic shop-window.
