- Summary
- While in Addis Ababa, the Princess Tsaihi Memorial Hospital was high on the list of the Duchess of Gloucester’s engagements. She was especially interested in the children’s wards. The hospital is an up to date building complete with the latest equipment. Now, to a castle near Gondar, the old capital of Ethiopia; and the contrast of the Northern part of the country. The territory is as wild and rugged as anyone could wish to see. A camp in the hills had been specially prepared in readiness for the brief stay of the Duke and Duchess. The Duchess had no lack of subjects for her camera: the peasant people in the mountainous up-country districts of this ancient land.
