Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Swing to the Right. DESCRIPTION: In Algeria, voting went on for three days: a single ballot on a different system from France. But the election was headline news: and Muslim women were as keen as the men in exercising their right to vote. In France, the second ballot confirmed the indications of the first: a landslide to the right. The Communists lost a hundred and thirty-four seats, and now have only ten. The Gaullist UNR head the list with a hundred and eighty-eight. SHOTLIST: GV pan town in Algeria. GV Queue in street. MS same. CU Muslim women talk. CU pan waiting men. CU putting vote in box.
