- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Aircraft - Old and New. DESCRIPTION: Over forty years of flying was the theme of this air show at Hucknall near Nottingham. These pictures show the fighters of 1916, the days of the Spitfire and, over twenty years later, the Delta wings of Avro Vulcans. An American Air Force tanker plane demonstrates air to air refuelling, a technique pioneered by that famous aeronaut, Sir Alan Cobham. Finally, the Black Arrows of Treble One Squadron, the famous aerobatic team of Royal Air Force Hunters. SHOTLIST: CU Fighter of first world war (key). SS Fighter of first world war.
