MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Royal Film Premiere. DESCRIPTION: Being the epic story of the Bismarck, this film premiere was in aid of Naval charities, and a naval occasion. Lord and Lady Brabourne (he produced the film) greeted His Royal Highness Prince Philip and Earl Mountbatten of Burma. And after greetings, they all went aloft to the upper deck, where Mr and Mrs Skouras had the honour of presentation. Other well-known personalities of the film industry were also honoured. And men who’d been present at the battle: Lieutenant Commander Pattison, the Swordfish pilot who crippled the ship, and survivors from HMS Hood, Lieutenant Commander Dundas, Lieutenant Briggs, Mr Robert Tilburn and Mr Esmond Knight.
