Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Boys’ Boxing. DESCRIPTION: At the Seymour Hall, London, John Hayday and Raymond Bateman met in the Federation of Boys’ Clubs boxing. Bateman hit the boards, and when he was floored again, the battle was stopped. Next, Dick Hodnett and Colin Hayday, John’s twin brother. Hodnett won on points. The Horst - Izzard bout was another thriller in a programme of first-class fisticuffs. Victory went to Horst, and West Ham won the Evening Standard Challenge Trophy.
