DESCRIPTION: Teamed in the 500, now an international event, were Bernard Morle, Fred Yates, Fred Rutherford, Bob McIntyre, David Dunnicliff, Eric Fitzhugh, Arnold James, Peter Doncaster, Brian Setchell, Haydn King, Michael Philpott and Ronald Kirk. And away they went on the Thruxton Aerodrome circuit, near Andover, Hants. Number 56 won top honours in this year’s race. It was ridden by Roy Langston and his colleague Don Chapman.
