Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: King in the City. DESCRIPTION: London’s Guildhall, and a surprise gift to the City from King Bhumibol and his Queen: a beautifully-detailed model of a Siamese Royal Barge. The Lord Mayor, Sir Edmund Stockdale, referred to Thailand’s links with Britain as old friends and as equal members of the defence organisation of South East Asia.
