- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Monte Carlo Rally. DESCRIPTION: The Monte Carlo Rally this year lived up to its reputation of being the most gruelling rally in the world. Starting from 8 different capitals, 306 contestants battled on for nearly 2,400 miles without a rest. Only 120 survived to finish. Anne Hall and Valerie Domleo, gained a major victory for Britain by winning the Ladies Cup. At Monte Carlo itself, there were other road and speed tests.
