- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: England’s Runners Win. DESCRIPTION: 10 countries were in the international cross-country senior championship at Graves Park, and there were 9 miles to go. Gaston Roelants of Belgium soon established a lead. English runner Batty eventually finished third, and North came eighth.
