Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Holy Ganges. DESCRIPTION: While we were celebrating Easter, Hindus were assembling to celebrate their Kumbh festival. Coinciding with the conjunction of three planets, the festival takes place every 12 years. Gathering at a spot in the foothills of the Himalayas, the Hindus swarm towards the banks of the holy river Ganges. Their faith holds that the sacred waters of the river will wash away their sins.
