- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Britain’s First Co-Op Skyscraper. DESCRIPTION: The highest occupied building in the United Kingdom is this Manchester skyscraper, completely air-conditioned, and built for the Co-operative Insurance Society. It can be heated in Winter - cooled in Summer. Altogether, there are 13 acres of floor space - equal to 10 football pitches. The two and a half thousand employees move in towards the end of the year.
