- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Airport in the Ocean. DESCRIPTION: Kai Tak Airport’s runway, nearly 3,000 yards long jutting out into the ocean, is a dramatic pathway into Hong Kong. It opened in 1958, and it can accommodate the biggest jets in service or on the drawing board.
