Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: House in a Hurry. DESCRIPTION: Prefabricated homes, transported in two halves, are setting new records in housing. They can be erected in less than an hour, and internal wiring and plumbing is all built-in, ready for linking up. For the 45,000 families on London’s waiting list, instant homes could speed up the solution to an immense problem. 750 have been ordered already by the London County Council from a firm in County Durham.
