- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Outboard World Record. DESCRIPTION: Our pictures show West Germany’s Werner Schrimpf from Wiesbaden, making his attempt on the world record for outboards between 350 and 500 cc’s on Berlin’s Spandauer Canal. Schrimpf’s target was to smash the record of 116.67 kilometres held by a Finnish flier. He succeeded and set a new world mark of 122.61. SHOTLIST: Key scene. Men put outboard in water (2 shots).
