Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Overseas to Sunshine. DESCRIPTION: Southampton and the last outward-bound voyage of a troopship from the UK. The Oxfordshire’s taking the 1st Battalion the Duke of Edinburgh’s Regiment to Malta. Four panther skins and a tiger skin were presented by the Indian High Commissioner in London, on behalf of Mr Nehru. They will be worn on ceremonial occasions by the Corps of the Drums. Quite a number of their families are going with the 400 officers and men of the battalion. In Cyprus, officer cadets from Sandhurst are on an eleven day toughening-up course.
