Summary
MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: The Don Plays Again. DESCRIPTION: The Duke of Norfolk and Sir Donald Bradman together in Canberra for a gala match between the MCC and Mr Menzies Eleven. Lord de L’Isle, the Governor-General was among many who turned up to see Sir Don’s return to the game as captain of the home side. His career began in the late twenties in a country town of New South Wales. A legendary figure who scored a century every three innings of his career and holds the Australian record score at 452.
