- MOVIETONE CARD TITLE: Up and Down at Sea. DESCRIPTION: Trials by a jet aircraft on the Ark Royal carrier in the English Channel. The aircraft - Hawker’s P1127, has the controllability of a helicopter and the forward speed of many a conventional jet. These tests were to perfect the technique, under the gusty conditions in which the aircraft will operate. SHOTLIST: Key scene. GV Ark Royal.
